StudyPoint, a leading national provider of private in-home SSAT tutoring has recently launched an extensive SSAT information center for parents whose children will be applying to private and boarding schools.
The high school admissions process can be a trying and confusing time for families, and for most students it is their first experience with standardized admissions exams. To help parents and students better understand the process, StudyPoint has created an extensive resource with information on everything from the structure of the SSAT to test scoring and test registration information.
According to company CEO Rich Enos, the launch of this free resource is part of a long term initiative to help parents navigate test preparation and admissions. "Every day we hear from parents who are struggling to make sense of testing requirements and schedules, and given our expertise we have the ability to demystify the test taking process. We're glad to be able to make our in-house knowledge freely available to families on our website."
The SSAT, one of the primary entrance exams for private middle and high schools, is taken by tens of thousands of students each year. It is two hours and thirty five minutes in length, and covers verbal, quantitative, and reading comprehension skills. Along with grades, extra-curricular activities, recommendations, and personal essays, SSAT scores make up one of the key components of a private school application.
With over 16,000 students, 700 instructors, and roughly 30 full-time employees, StudyPoint had almost $6 million in annual sales this past school year. Thanks to its ongoing growth, StudyPoint has made the Inc 5,000 list of the fastest growing companies in America for the last five years-an exceptional achievement in these difficult economic times.
