Washington State University is a land-grant public research university in Pullman, Washington. Founded in 1890, WSU offers over 100 undergraduate majors and more than 200 fields of study. The University is consistently ranked by U.S. News and World Report among the top 60 public universities in the nation, and the its faculty is ranked in the top 10 in eight academic fields for scholarly productivity and research activity. WSU offers top-rated programs in broadcasting, interior design, criminology, entrepreneurial studies, and international business. It has been named the safest university campus in Washington State and the safest major research campus nationwide.

WSU has 300 registered student organizations and a attractive variety of sports programs, including sailing, ice hockey, gymnastics, basketball, and football. The University has additional campuses in Spokane, Vancouver, and Richland, as well as an online learning program.
