Private SSAT Tutors

We have a two-fold approach to pairing our students with the best possible SSAT tutor. The first component of our approach is our guarantee that all of the tutors we work with are experienced professionals of the highest caliber. During our tutor interview process, we evaluate each applicant's teaching and tutoring experience, his or her interests and personality, and his or her familiarity with the subject areas in which he or she plans to tutor. We intentionally work with tutors from a range of backgrounds, ages, and walks of life. Our SSAT tutors, therefore, are a diverse yet elite group of educational professionals. What they all have in common, however, is a passion for helping children succeed.

The second component of our approach involves thoughtfully pairing each student with the tutor to whom that student will best respond. During our enrollment consultation, we take the time to learn as much about your child as possible. We make it our goal to learn about all facets of your child's personality and educational background - from his or her learning style to extracurricular interests. This information allows us to match your child with a SSAT tutor who's not only the best possible instructor for his or her learning style, but who will also be someone your child actually enjoys spending time with.

From within our large pool of qualified tutors, certain tutors are asked to participate in our SSAT tutoring program. Those tutors who have demonstrated exceptional results with other standardized testing formats and who have experience working with younger students are invited to undergo additional training on our SSAT tutoring program. As part of this training, tutors learn our ISEE and SSAT test taking techniques and strategies and the best methods for teaching these strategies.
