We were honored to have the former Associate Provost for Admissions at Cornell University, Doris, host a complimentary webinar entitled "Insider Tips on Distinguishing Yourself in the Admissions Process". We invite you to watch an informative presentation aimed at giving parents and students an insider's edge on applying to some of the most prestigious schools in the country.

 

In this webinar Doris discusses topics such as:

  • The admissions application: what matters most and what matters least.
  • Holistic admissions: why the totality of the application is more important than the individual parts.
  • Institutional Priorities: determining how an institution's enrollment priorities can help your application for admission.
  • Early Decision/Early Action: when applying early can help or hurt your chances for admission.
 

In addition to spending ten years as the Associate Provost for Admissions and Enrollment at Cornell University, Doris also served for eleven years as the Dean of Admissions at Barnard College of Columbia University. In addition, she was an Assistant/Associate Director of Admissions at Yale University, Mills College (California) and the University of Cincinnati (Ohio). Doris received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wellesley College and a Master of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also pursued Ph.D. work in American History at the University of California at Berkeley.
