The group, which includes 16 universities along the eastern half of the U.S. competing in 24 NCAA-regulated sports, is known for its talented teams and steep competition. Full member schools of the Big East Conference are: the University of Cincinnati, University of Connecticut, DePaul, Georgetown, University of Louisville, Marquette, Notre Dame, University of Pittsburgh, Providence College, Rutgers University, St. John’s, Seton Hall, University of South Florida, Syracuse, Villanova, and West Virginia University.
