Admissions Information

Eastern Washington University admissions officials note that an applicant's standardized test scores, GPA, application essay, and academic record are the most important factors in the admissions process. Other factors include a candidate's character, extracurricular activities, interview, work experience, talents, and volunteer work.

The University requires applicants to submit an application essay and standardized test scores. The test scores will not be used to determine admission if an applicant has a 3.3 GPA or higher. The scores, however, will still be used for course placement and scholarship selection, no matter an applicant's GPA.
