SAT & ACT Guarantee Information

Elligibility

In order to maintain guarantee elligibility, a student must:

  • complete all tutoring hours in his/her program.
  • complete all SAT/ACT Practice Tests.
  • complete all homework by the end of the program.

Additional Information: SAT Guarantee

Those students who scored a 195 or above on the PSAT will be guaranteed to increase their scores, but not by a specific amount.

For those students who begin their SAT Programs before taking their junior year PSAT, sophomore year PSAT scores will be used as the baseline score for the score increase guarantee. However, if a student has 2 or fewer lessons prior to taking the junior year PSAT test, then the junior year PSAT scores can be used without an effect on guarantee eligibility. StudyPoint can also proctor an SAT practice test in your home (at an additional cost of $75) to use as the baseline for the guarantee. The proctored test must occur prior to the 3rd lesson of the program. If taking a proctored SAT test that includes a score range, the student's starting score ranges for each section of the test will be used as the baseline. If these stipulations are not met, the student will not be eligible for the score increase guarantee.

Point Increase Guarantee is based on total PSAT Score (converted to a 600-2400 scale) to total SAT Score.

In order to be eligible for the guarantee, the student must:

  1. Take the SAT immediately following the completion of his/her SAT Program. There must be no more than three weeks between lessons in the program and/or between the last lesson date and the test date.
  2. Submit copies of official junior year PSAT and SAT scores. Copies of PSAT scores must be submitted to StudyPoint prior to the test date. Copies of SAT scores must be submitted prior to the use of the guaranteed hours.

Additional Information: ACT Guarantee

The baselines for score increases on the ACT are as follows:

  • First official ACT score (if the student has previously taken the ACT)
  • Proctored ACT Practice Test score (if student has not previously taken the ACT), proctored by the tutor (additional charge of $75 for this service) prior to the 3rd lesson of the program.

Point Increase Guarantee is based on composite ACT or ACT Practice Test Score to composite ACT Score.

Those students who scored a 29 composite or above on a previous official ACT or proctored practice test will be guaranteed to increase their scores, but not by a specific amount.

In order to be eligible for the guarantee, the student must:

  1. Take the ACT immediately following the completion of his/her ACT Program. There must be no more than three weeks between lessons in the program and/or between the last lesson date and the test date.
  2. Submit copies of official ACT scores. If first official ACT scores are to be used as the baseline for the guarantee, copies must be submitted to StudyPoint prior to the test date.
