Big 10 Schools

College Admissions Profiles

The Big 10 Conference is the oldest Division 1 college-level athletic conference in the U.S. Member schools of the conference are, for the most part, located in the Midwest. Interestingly enough, despite the conference’s name, the Big 10 has actually included 11 schools since Penn State’s incorporation in 1990. Effective July 1, 2011, the conference’s name will deviate even further from accuracy when The University of Nebraska-Lincoln joins. Regardless, current member schools of the Big 10 are: The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Indiana University, University of Iowa, University of Michigan, Michigan State, University of Minnesota, Northwestern, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue, and University of Wisconsin-Madison.
