Admissions Information
Georgia Tech admissions officials note that an applicant's extracurricular activities, academic record, GPA, character, application essay, geographical residence, volunteer work, and standardized test scores are the most important factors in the admissions process. Other factors include a candidate's state residency, talents, work experience, alumni relation, and racial/ethnic status.
All applicants must submit their standardized test scores, an application essay, and a leadership and activity record. The leadership and activity record lists all extracurricular activities that an applicant has participated in during high school. The University favors applicants who have held leadership roles outside of the classroom. Georgia Tech offers a non-restrictive Early Action plan.
