Admissions Information
With a 49% acceptance rate, Elon University has a selective admissions process, though it is not brutally competitive. Selecting officials cite an applicant's school achievement record, which includes academic GPA and the rigor of the curriculum, as the most important factor in admission. This is followed by his or her standardized test scores. Elon also values a prospective student's extracurricular activities, letters of recommendation, talent, volunteer and work experience, personal statement, and alumni relation. Also considered are an applicant's personal qualities, class rank, state residency, status as a first-generation college student, and level of interest.
